Suggestions from the new guy

I posted this in the general discussion section with a couple questions. I've copied the part of the post with the suggestion in it:

"Finally, and maybe this should be in the 'suggestions' area, but it would be nice to have "suites" of plug-ins that could be loaded all at once (a good example would be all of the Google-oriented plug-ins, or all of the HTML nugget plug-ins). Don't get me wrong, SPARTACUS is light-years ahead of how WP does it (download-unzip-upload), and I think it's great. But there are so many plug-ins available, it would be nice to load a set of related plug-ins all at once."

After thinking about it, and adding some additional pug-ins, another thought occurred to me. When "picking" a plug-in (clicking the "save" icon), would it be possible to have a "number of instances" to add? The most obvious would be HTML nuggets. Sometimes you need 2 or 3. Either that, or in the plug-in manipulation page (where you can move them from sidebar to sidebar), being able to "copy" a box would probably serve the same purpose.

And, again likely posted in the wrong spot - how easy is it to "clone" a site once it is set up? In other words, copying all of the layout and plug-ins to a new domain/sub-domain?

Thanks,
Wally

Hi!

Addding the ability to spawn multiple nuggets can already be achieved somewhat easily by using a browser with tabs. Just mid-click on the HTML nugget when installing the amount of times you need it, and then you already have multiple plugins.

Copying a plugin sounds nice, but technically a bit challenging to integrate into the interface. It's already quite tight there with permissions, config buttons and drag/drop buttons, so a new button for copying there might obfuscate the panel a lot more?

Usually you can simply copy the whole s9y HTTP structure and the database to a new host, and then just change the config options for the new site. :-)
