Is there a process to remove all information from an article so to put in a bare advertisement?

Yes: Edit entries.tpl. :-)

hmmmm....

Would not editing entries involve ALL articles when I just want to pick one here and there to eliminate the title and footer?

Hi!

Ah. In that case you can use the 'Custom Entryproperties' plugin. Add a custom field like "IsAdvertisement". For entries where you only want to show the content, enter "1" in that advertisement field in the extended entryproperties section.

Then you edit your entries.tpl template and use Smarty-IF checks to surround the blocks you only want to show when no ad is emitted:

Code: Select all

{if $entry.properties.ep_IsAdvertisement != 1}
...author information, footer, etc.
{/if}

I understand that! :)

Are you putting those ads behind each one of these ad questions on purpose? :)

thanx

My question was about cramming advertisements between articles in the blog and when I came by to read your response it had advertisements in the blog on both sides of your message... So I thought maybe you were showing me an example is all. :)

I dont see them now either.
Perhaps I used the wrong term as I think they were Serendipity kind of ads.
They looked like ads so I didnt pay attention! :)
