Browsers other than IE

Does Serendipity work fully with all browsers? I had this message from a visitor to my blog: http://www.oakbayrotary.com/cblog/
I set up an International Committee entry under Committees and typed in a post. But when I tried to enter it I got a pop up that said something to the effect that Mozilla < 1.3 Beta didn't support it.
and in answer to my question to him about what browser he used:
Adding a comment to the International committee post worked. Again when I tried to go through the open administration link I got the same Mozilla message. I use Safari - a Mac thing - so that may be part of the problem. I don't use Firefox.
