Installed, but error in blog

Hi! I sure could use some help here! I think it might be an error in my settings during install. Serendipity installed... but I notice an error in the QuickJump section:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/studentd/public_html/blog/serendipity_functions.inc.php on line 328
Also: How do I post? I do not see a button for administration to post.. is there another file I need to access to post?
