How do we download through Spartacus? I would assume that means through the backend/admin panel of S9, but I can't find a way. For that matter, how do we download through CVS? All I can do there is get each file, copy and paste the into... that's a really long process on themes.

a) go the configure plguins menu
b) choose install a new event plugin
c) select spartacus
now spartacus gets installed
make your plugin folder writeable, same with the template folder
now you can download new plugins and themes directly from the web, by repeating a) and b) [works also for sidebar plugs]

I have Spartacus installed, and I download both event and sidebar plugins all the time. But I'm not seeing the option for downloading themes on the "configure plugin" page or the "manage styles" page. Is my install missing something? Or have I gone blind?

if you have spartacus installed and go to the manage styles menu, a list of all available themes is shown. if you click on any theme spartacus will install it, and download the files (if not already done)
if you cant see the specific theme you´re looking for, its not in the repository (yet).

I thought those were just the templates you have installed on your server, because when I have copied one to my server, file by file, it shows up on that page and can be chosen.
I'm just looking for a way to download a whole template folder at once, instead of going into CVS and copying every file one at a time.

I get a lot more than that in my themes. (I just got Carl Green, for instance, and I know I don't have that on my drive. Yet.)
It takes about 24 hours for SPARTACUS to update. CVS took some time, too, when I submitted my plugin. I counsel patience.

Nah, I have never had a theme on there that I didn't install myself. I don't think mine's working like yours is. There are themes that have been in the CVS for probably 6-8 months, and I don't have them. The only way to get them is to go to the CVS and copy and paste every single file.
StarF, I'll check out that download and see if I can get that working. thanks.

Hathor: The "manage styles" spartacus integration only works with Serendipity 0.9 and up...maybe that is causing problems?

I've got 9.1 installed (or whatever the very newest stable version is called). Sounds like there's something wrong with my installation.

How does your Theme page look like? At the top of it, you should see notes of Spartacus saying "Fetching themes..."?!
Maybe you don't have the latest version of the spartacus plugin? Check if you have the one that's delivered with the 0.9.1 release file...

Garvin
