Once I disabled the WYSIWYG editor and inserted the content,
the banner appeared.

Glad that it did the trick. I'm sorry for such an "ugly" solution, which is why we all tried to use different methods before resolving to that one.

But since you don't need to change the nugget on a regular basis, it should be fine, hopefully.

Any solution is "beautiful" in my estimation. Again, I am sincerely
appreciative of all your support!

I will continue to experiment with the Serendipity blog, and feel
