Hi!
I must admit I might not be the target audience for this question. I am perfectly fine with using a HEAD nugget plugin to add counter code.
I don't use any graphical counters, so I don't have a $0.02 to rant about how useful it is in the footer.
So...I completely leave it up to you guys to draw some conclusion. I'm fine with all variants.
Regards,
Garvin

So am I. I'm also fine with using the Google Analytics plugin to add that code. Maybe we should have a similar plugin like that for generic counter code because the GA plugin only works with GA code ..?

Hm, right now, I'm much more inclined to remove the counter code feature since it seems to be confusing ...

I'm inclined to leave it exactly as it currently exists. I have already seen 2-3 people using it as it was originally intended. While users COULD just use the footer text box, it does provide a nice visual separation between that text, and any visual counter. It also falls below the creditline and bp button, but above the footer site nav. We did not have a default style for it in base.css or style.css, but I have already taken care of that which will appear in my upcoming svn update.

If you use Sitemeter code in the BP template in the box for counter or webstat tool is it supposed to show up graphically anywhere?
I currently use a html nugget in the sidebar for that.

I've just signed up and added the sitemeter code to the
bulletproof doc site by pasting in the counter code box and selecting yes in the checkbox below. The graphic showed up in the page footer

I found what my problem was. As long as the Sitemeter code is in a nugget in the sidebar it suppresses it in the footer. No idea how though. As soon as I removed the Sitemeter sidebar nugget it showed up fine. Thank you.
