Registration email prompt

Post by rj »

This is rather new issue that I suspect some political enemy signed me up for bot spam attacks
I get these 100 times a day...

An author account has just been created for cherrishugsay on the blog http://rackjite.com/serendipity_admin.php. To activate this account, click here:

http://rackjite.com/index.php?serendipi ... 5c#adduser

After you have clicked there, logging in is possible with the submitted password. This E-Mail has been sent to the owner of the blog as well as the new author.

No real person has bothered to register in years since I made COMMENTS open. So I dont care about notification. Especially by these bots who can't do the email verify. I cannot seem to find out where the check box is to say DO NOT NOTIFY ME, Cant seem to find it in config, plugin self regis or plug in spam...
thanx

Hi!

Indeed currently there's no option to prevent admin mails. It shuldn't be hard to add this, but until we do that, I could only suggest you to create a mail filter rule on your mail client so that you can simply delete such notification mails automatically?

Garvin
