2 blogs in the same site

Hi, i am french and my english is very bad...and I have some difficulties to anderstand informatic...

but I will try to explain my problem. I need to create two blogs in the same site. I copy 2 repertory of serendipity that I called " blogsylvie" and "blogjuju". I thought it would work like that....

But I got the following message, and conclued I need to change several things in the scripts....it's chinese for me!!!! I need some help. could somebody explain me how to do????

You seem to are using an old version of Serendipity.

Just extrac tthe Serendipity 0.8.2 files into two seperate directories, and then install each version. First install blogsylvie and then install blogjuju.

You need to do "advanced installation" and then choose different database prefixes for each blog! So the first blog can have "blogsylvie_" and the other "blogjuju_" instead of both havint "serendipity_".

If you then configure those two blogs like two different blogs, all should be well. Currently it seems you did not extract all files properly!

Thanks a lot to Garvin for the help! I am sorry of my so bad english!!
c'est le premier forum que je fréquente et je suis étonnée de la rapidité des réponses et de la gentillesse des utilisateurs. merci de me proposer une traduction, mais j'ai réussi à comprendre! j'ai mis mes 2 répertoires sur mon site distant et ai commencé l'installation (c'est bien différent en effet de la version précédente que j'avais)...qui n'a pas fontionnée.
mon hébergeur est Free et je me demande si c'est vraiment possible de changer la version qu'ils installent directement sur les site perso.
(et cette version qu'ils proposent fonctionne donc très bien sur mon site, mais je n'ai jamais pu en créer une autre)
enfin, voilà, je suis un peu déçue que ça n'ai pas marché! mais bon en même temps, je crois que je maîtrise l'informatique aussi bien que l'anglais alors cela aurait été un miracle!!!!
