Strange Update using 1.5.3

Hallo everbody,

I did an update yesterday from rel. 1.4 to 1.5.3. After the update, I received no messages (usually I do get some). I was sable to start the blog an the admin interface, but not one of my user passwords worked. I checked the database, where everything was oK: All users are still there, and passwords as well.

After a while, I decided to overwrite the files again using 1.4. software, and then suddenly- it worked.

Can anyone explain what the reason might be?

I have to do more updates, and I'm afraid that more problems might occure.

You possibly haven't done the DB update when you did your update. Always be sure to do the whole update, not only upload the new files.
