EEeep! URGENT help needed!!

Hhhhhm so it seems I have done something a little silly.

Through my hosting service I installed v.1.1.2

Then I successfully upgraded it via separate FTP uploader on my computer.

The settings are still in my hosting control panel and I *unthinkingly* changed my blog title and description there.

Now if I go to my blog it shows this "Serendipity has detected that your currently installed Serendipity version is 1.1.2. It seems you are attempting to upgrade to version 1.5.2, so you need to click here to continue the upgrade process."

Which makes sense if I have been changing the old settings I guess.


If I continue it shows this "Not Found

The requested URL /pinknoise-artzine/pinknoise-artzineserendipity_admin.php was not found on this server.

I have broken it all!!

Can anyone help at all??

Aaannnndd I got it working . . . kind of! lol


But there were some serious error messages going on in the process!

I think I need a bit of help still!!! There is something VERY wrong with the paths (or something. . . you can see by clicking any link on the main page), and I wouldn't know the first place to look!

Hm, that URL doesn'T resolve for me at all?

About the paths, yes, it seems some places are missing an ending "/" in the path name.

Are you able to call the admin suite at all? Do you have access via phpMyAdmin?

Thanks for looking. . . can you believe *randomly* my server locked me out.

But now it is back up again. Sorry about that! What bad timing!

Yes I can access the admin suite. . . . I have sorted out the paths so it actually works. I can get to everything I need and it all seems to be fine!

BUT . . . .

If I look at Verify Installation Integrity. There is a whole page of red! It is all to do with the plugins and templates. But everything seems to be working okay.

Phew. . sorry for this boring thread of reading about my trials and problems lol.

Maybe you could show a screenshot of the verify installation page? Maybe when you uploaded the newer version, you forgot to also copy templates/ and plugins/ over?
