I just updated my two year old serendipity site to version 1.5.2 and now I can't access the admin panel anymore. I get the message
You appear to have entered an invalid username or password
There is no "forgot password" feature either. How do I get my password back? Also, since I have barely used it ever, I don't mind reinstalling the SQlite version over this MySQL version. How do I do that?
can't login after update
Re: can't login after update
Managed this. Checked out a previous post that said I just had to delete the serendipity_config_local.inc.php file and reload the site. Initially the install didn't show me the SQlite option, but uploading a customised php.ini file took care of it.andyash wrote:Also, since I have barely used it ever, I don't mind reinstalling the SQlite version over this MySQL version. Re: can't login after update
FYI - there is a "forgot password" plugin. I am not certain if it works for all passwords, or only those created AFTER the plugin was installed, which would likely not include the main admin password.

I had not installed such a plugin and obviously I could't install it anymore if I can't even login to my admin area.Don Chambers wrote:FYI - there is a "forgot password" plugin. Re: can't login after update
I only mentioned it as something you might want to consider after your successful reinstallation.
