Sidebar Plugins missing after upgrade

Post by Geo »

Hello

I've recently upgraded the the latest version and the sidebar plugins I had installed do not show anymore (Calendar, Search, RSS Feeds).

They are listed in the Configuration. I tried removing them and reinstall but they do not show up.
Anybody and suggestions?

Thanks.

Two things come to mind:

Which version did you have before the upgrade?

Hi!

How did you try to remove them? By removing the files? You must make sure the plugin files are all sitll there, and then when you click on "CLick here to install an event/sidebar plugin" they should be listed.

Note though that Search&Calendar&Feeds are internal plugins; you actually can't upgrade them (only by upgrading serendipity core), so what did you do exactly?

Thanks fro replying. It was Serendipity 1.3.1.

The blog is over 18 orientated and I don't feel it appropriate to post a link here.

Garvin I ticked the boxes in the configuration page and used the delete button. Then I re-added them.

I tried increasing memory_limit of PHP but no change.

Thanks for helping.

Hi!

So you're saying you re-added them -- this did work? But nothing happens if you click on the Installation link for those plugins to re-add them? They are not added to your sidebar plugin configuration?

Depending on which template you use, you might need to move the specific plugin to the proper colum (like left, middle, right column) so that it shows up?

If that doesn't help, please post a screenshot of your plugin backend panel, and maybe you can send me a PM with your URL.

Garvin

Hi sorry for delay replaying.

I tried moving the columns. The plugins show up in the configuration, but not the blog output. I've added a screenshot attachment.

I don't know if that is any useful information for you ...I'm stumped by this problem.

Thanks

Hi!

What's your URL so that we can see the template/output?
