and after saving:

so,how should i back up my editor or fix it?

i tried to upgrade serendipity manually but i faced to SQL database error, though i had backed up my db folder and replace it after manual upgrading,Don Chambers wrote:You mentioned in another post that you were using a serendipity installation from RVSiteBuilders - they have chopped Serendipity up according to their own ideas, so you may need to contact them directly for assistance.
If you can create and connect to your own database, and ftp files, you would be better off getting rid of that version of serendipity and directly installing it yourself.
i didn't catch what did you mean about javascript error, can you tell me how can i back up editor files?garvinhicking wrote:Hi!
Also, check your browser for javascript error messages. It seems when you save their config, they reset the "Use WYSIWYG"-Editor.

Why did you try to upgrade s9y manually? What did you do? This should never be required. Did you read the FAQ on upgrading and how to revert when an upgrade failed with $serendipty['versionInstalled']=
Backing up files can be done via FTP, by copying the whole serendipity directory...

When you update Serendipity by uploading a fresh release, all existing plugins will not be touched. You only overwrite existing files, so you would never loose files.if i back up all of old serendipity directory i will lose new upgrades such as plugins and albums and... i may install ,would you please specify the editor files clearly ?
