BSD as advantage over wordpress?

In the features-section, we state the following:

Why is Serendipity better than...
Wordpress
...
BSD-licensed, Wordpress is only GPL. That means, you can use Serendipity to power your commercial sites without any issues. Of course, the Serendipity team still likes to get credited where credit is due.

As I understand it, this section is misleading. Wordpress being licensed as GPL does not prevent the use of the software for a commercial site. What could be meant is a commercial fork or modification to the software itself. But even than would the GPL only be a hindrance if one would want to publish the software, not if one uses it to host a commercial site (as Wordpress is only under GPL 2, not under AGPL).

Would be great if we could point that out more clearly

In fact, the BSD license allows you to sell Serendipity; AFAIK GPL-apps cannot be sold - that's what we meant with "commercial"...?!

Other than that - I'm not up to speed with licenses, I only know that BSD allows you to protect your own commerical IP when seeling BSD-licensed code, whereas GPL is viral in a way that it does not allow such actions.

The section reads as if because of the license, serendipity would be better suited for a commercial site (like a shop). If only the selling of commercial modification is meant, maybe it should be changed in something like this:

Wordpress
...

Well, I'd like it to be more broadly, and not aimed specifically at "commercial blogsoftware"; but all kinds of commercial application. In general, s9y allows you to do all of what GPL allows you to, but more. At least that's what I get from it...

"Software" instead of "blogsoftware" should fit, shouldn't it? Even though to be broadly is fine, i would be great if it became clear that it's about the software, not a commercial site.

Ah, okay. In that case the "sites" was just used as a broader term for "websites", which could mean anykind of custom application or serendipity variant. I now chaned it to "applocations or sites"..?
