Quicksearch doesn't work (2)

Post by muyoSecondTry »

Whatever I search, 0 results. I have a version for testing here (Spanish) :

Search is "buscar"

QuickSearch not working for me either...

Post by hyper »

Versions:

Serendipity:
0.7-beta3
MySQL: 4.0.14-nt (localhost) / 4.0.20 (ISP)
PHP: 4.3.3 (localhost) / 4.3.8 (ISP)

This is disappointing for a first install of Serendipity. For ease of set up and administration, it looks better than WordPress. I've been looking for a PHP blogging system that has a great built-in search function.

A quick scan of the forums shows that this problem with QuickSearch seems to be fairly common. Is there a fix out yet?

localhost only

Hi, thanks for offering to look, but I've taken the site down until I can it working. At the moment I'm running Serendipity on my localhost only whilst I tinker with the search function.

I created two new articles, then searched for terms that appear in one or both articles. Each time I get a search result of 0.

I'll try a nightly build and see if that's any different.

Nope, I downloaded today's build and the QuickSearch still doesn't work. I still get 0 results. I've tried moving articles in/out of Categories, but it makes no difference.

Hi,

do you have access to the database via phpMyAdmin for example?
If yes take a look if the indexes are created properly.
