Hi,
I'm experiencing a curious bug/problem.
As detailed in this post I was experiencing some trouble with the popfetcher plugin yesterday.
This morning, after some advice from Garvin, I retried and called the cron job. Immediately after that I lost the display of my static page links in the left sidebar. At first I believed this to be a login problem, the static pages displayed for Garvin and I also could see them in IE instead of the normal FF.
I thought it was some cookie/cache problem and cleared that, with the static page links sometimes being visible, sometimes not. I even went as far as reinstalling FF. Then I logged in with IE and there suddenly also lost vision of the links.
Well, I kept thinking that apart from me the rest of the people would see the links as supposed. Until I did browsershots from browsershot.org. And the links weren't displayed there either!
As this is a live site we're talking about I have now added a HTML nugget, dropped the link list in there and at least people can navigate now.
But the problem stays.
I uninstalled the popfetcher and cron plugins, problem still there. I dare not actually touch the static page plugins right now, as I am afraid I'll miss the whole static pages in the end (which right now are in the database).
It needs mentioning that the page I set to be the front page also does not display when the base URI is called. It appears that something with static page display has gone awry.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas?
Cheers,
Dachs

Hi!
Something's defintely wrong with your installation, without access I don't think anyone can get a clue.
I'm sure it has to do with the privilege setup of user groups/plugin privileges and/or the URL-Rewriting and/or a corrupted database.
Regards,
Garvin

Re: Staticpage + Popfetcher Bug (?)
Hi,
well, by now I have verified it isn't just that one installation. A second blog installed on the same domain had the same problem.
I have installed two other blogs on other domains, both work. I checked already some files and discovered there are discrepancies for the staticpage plugin. As I am using Spartacus to install plugins is there a means to check whether the integrity of the Spartacus database is guaranteed? Between these blogs are roughly 4 weeks installation date.

Hi,
an update...
With Garvin's help I finally found at least the reason for the "disappearance" of the static pages block.
At some point all the static pages changed the language setting from "all languages" to "german". This appears to have happened when I switched from english to german and back to english of the admin account. It also may have happened while that popfetcher error occurred though, right now I have no way of checking which was the trigger.
Of course, then the block was empty when surfing with an english-language browser and being logged in. As I was sure that languages had been correctly set, I never checked that
After setting all static page languages back to "all", everything worked again. Still a very curious thing to happen.
Cheers
