Automatic Post

Post by flashingchicken »

Have been looking around, but haven't seen anything yet. Was wondering if there was a plugin that would let me have an entry that would automatically be posted once a week. I do have cron capability if there is something that could be called from the command line. Thanks for any help.

Hi!

Which entry would you want to post once a week? The content would need to be set somehow, it can't magically appear. :)

If you want an entry to show up permanently, that's called "STicky Entry" and is provided by the "Extended properties for entries" plugin.

Not sure if this is what you wanted or not, but you could write several entries, each dated in the future... so lets say you write 4 entries, and date each of them Nov 19, Nov 26, Dec 2 and Dec 9. Save them with those future dates. They will not be seen until each of those dates arrive, provided you have the option "show future entries" set to its default value of "no" (Administration -> Configuration -> Appearance and Options -> Show future entries).
