Trackbacks

Hi,

When I publish an entry that have to be displayed in the future, the trackbacks to other entries of the blog are not done and it's logical. But, if this entry is not modified after the publishing date, the trackbacks are never done. Is there a way to correct this?

Hi!

We currently have no automatism for "scheduled trackbacks", so the current only way is to re-save an entry to execute trackbacks. I rarely do this, so I don't remeber if you might need to temporarily first save it as draft, and after that as "publish" immediately again.

Hi Garvin,

Generally I just change a character in the entry (by itself), resave the entry and it works! But sometimes, I forgot to do it and the tracbacks are lost.

An idea for version 2!

You don't have to change anything. Save the entry in the future and save it again some time after the publishing. The trackacks will be generated, at least in my installation.
But an automatic trackback-generation would be nice. Maybe on the first visit of a post never shown before, wouldn't that be possible?
