Rund um die Datenbank für den Blog

1. Kann man ein Datenbank-Paßwort das bei der Blog Installation existiert hat nachträglich einfach ändern, ohne das es Konflikte gibt. Also ich meine so:

Datenbank Paßwort bei meinem Provider ändern. Dann auf der Verwaltungsfläche vom Blog in Konfiguration-->Datenbank Paßwort das Neue eintrage (jetzt steht da nix - merkwürdig). Fertig? Oder gibt es da noch etwas was ich beachten muss?

2. Wer kann mir sagen, welche Einstellungen ich hier wählen soll, wenn ich eine Datenbank für den Blog sichern möchte. Und wem es nicht zuviel ist, der möge mir auch bitte verständlich erklären - warum

Ich möchte das einmal verstehen.

Hallo,

Frage 1: Das Passwort kannst du ändern. Wenn du das Passwort änderst, kannst du dich anschließend nicht mehr im Blog anmelden. Du musst es anschließend in der Datei serendipity_config_local.inc.php (bitte nagel mich jetzt nicht wegen des Namens fest) ändern. Dort sind die Zugangsdaten zur Datenbank gespeichert.

Dass das Passwort nicht angezeigt wird ist ja logisch. Dort würden zwar Sternchen auftauchen, aber ein Blick in den Quelltext würde trotzdem das Passwort verraten. Ist also zu deiner eigenen Sicherheit.

Frage 2: Export als SQL, vollständige Inserts, senden bz2 komprimiert. Das Problem ist, du musst dich a) etwas mit Datenbanken auskennen und b) ist es nicht raus, das du dieses Backup auch wieder über diese Oberfläsche einspielen kannst. Wenn die Datei größer 2 MB wird, verweigert phpMyAdmin (in der Grundeinstellung) seine Arbeit. Hat 1und1 keine Möglichkeit über die normale Benutzeroberfläche?
Und noch etwas zur Erklärung: SQL ist die Sprache, mit der die Daten aus der Datenbank gelesen werden. Dabei gibt es die DDL, die Data Definition Language (Datenbanken und Tabellen anlegen; create tabel, create database), die DML, die Data Manipulation Language (Daten einfügen, aktuallisieren und löschen; insert, update, delete) und die Abfrage (select) In der Oberfläche wollen sie im Prinzip nur wissen, ob du die Tabellen löschen willst wenn du die SQL-Datei die erzeugt wird neu einspielst usw. Was zwar etwas kompliziert klingt, ist alles aus dem Fachbereich Datenbanken und für Leute die sich damit auskennen "normal". Ich verstehe ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie die Hoster Otto-Normal-Homepagern so ein Tool zur Verfügung stellen können. Damit kann man seine Daten ganz schön zerstören und bei obigem Beispiel mit dem Import nutzt es keinem etwas.
So, nun ist es wieder ein Roman geworden. Aber ich hoffe einige Fragen sind geklärt. Ich kann hier vorerst nur auf die Wikipedia verweißen, wenn man sich genauer mit Datenbanken befassen will.

Ja klar, das mit dem Senden hab ich vergessen.

Nun gut, dann werde ich das mal machen. Nicht komprimiert sind es schon über 3 MB. Mal sehen wieviel das jetzt werden.

Hallo, wo in der config_local.inc.php sind denn die Daten? Ich finde da gar nix!

In der serendipity_config_local.inc.php steht fast nix anderes als DB-Zugangsdaten. Was steht denn bei dir drin?

Das ist die falsche Datei. Hier geht es um die serendipity_config_local.inc.php im Stammverzeichnis des Blogs.

Schau mal ob dir die fixperm.php in der auf s9y.org aufgeführten FAQ hilft, die kannst du hochladen und ausführen um die Dateirechte so zu ändern dass du eigentlich rankommen müsstest.
