Import from wordpress blog

I am trying to import entries from my wordpress blog into a new site that I am creating through serendipity. My host is 1&1. Any help appreciated.

Have you already installed serendipity? If so, log into the backend/admin, and under the sidebar item "Administration" is "import data". One of the options there is "Wordpress".

Where do I get the database information from the wordpress blog?

That one I cannot answer as I have never used Wordpress.... others here have, however, and hopefully someone has the answer. If it is anything like Serendipity, it will have some kind of configuration file that specifies the database credentials.
