How Do You Change the Footer in the Kubrick Skin??

Post by Pompeylad »

Hi,

I want to change the footer in the Kubrick skin which reads "Serendipity 1.4.1.
Design is Kubrick, by Michael Heilemann, ported by Tom Sommer.".

In what folder is the footer in??

Thanks,
Pompeylad.

Hi!

This is licensing information. Why would you want to change that? :)

Hi Garvin,

I thought this program was OS and the licensing information is in the php, css, js and the tpl files?

I want to place a link to the parent site and I will state on there what CMS program we are using, dont worry s9y.org will get a mention and a link.

By the way how secure is Serendipity?

Serendipity is open source. The original author of the Kubrick (Michael Heilemann) may have required that his name, and a link back to his site, remain in the source. Even if not required, it is considered to be an insult to use someone's work, yet remove attribution to the original author.

Having said all this, you will find that code in the file index.tpl. I hope you merely add to the footer, not remove what is already there.

Serendipity is as secure as it can be, and is regularly maintained to enhance features and security.

Hi Don,

Thanks for the information.

I have changed all of the graphics and they do not look like the Kurbick skin at all. Will this still be a problem? If so I will look else where for a CMS program.

If you have substantially modified the original look, its not really a problem at all.
