import of data

Post by Rodnox »

Hi there,

i got 2 problems.

I've just installed a new version of s9y and tried to import the data of another s9y blog.
I can run the "Import" Script and basicly get no errors. The final message is
Import successfully completed
Well, everything went well .... apart from the problem that nothing was imported. And no, I did not mark the "Test verbose import" field.

Can somebody help?

Second Problem I have .. ah maybe I open another folder for that, otherwise it gets too messi here.

Thanks for the Moment.

Hi!

How about enabling the verbose field then? :)

Did that as well. Maybe I just misunderstood the sense of the import tool.

I'm having 2 s9y installations on the same upgrade level and I'd like to transfere all entries made over the last 3 years to the new installation.

Is that possible with that tool or does the data importer just import userdetails and configurations etc. ?

Hi!

Phew, I must admit I don'T have the time to check the impor tdetails right now. What it does it import all date of the old blog (categories, users, etc.), I think. I don't think it imports any plugins or configuration.

What exactly are you doing? Merging two installations? The importer was developed for that idea...the importer was not meant to be a kind of backup of an old blog with everything containing it.
