Installing new themes

Post by difuria »

I have just installed a new theme ("base") by uploading the complete folder to /templates. But now the new theme does not show up in the "Manage Themes" area of my s9y installation an so I am not able to choose it for my blog. What have I done wrong? Can anybody give me a hint?

Hi!

Where did you get that theme? The official s9y repository doesn't have a theme called base?!

I'm assuming it's my Base port from http://yellowled.de/ports.html :)

I know for a fact that the zipfile is working since Sebastian (who requested it) is actually using it. So I guess the question here is: How did you upload it? What are the permissions for the template folder? Is there even a directory called /templates/base/? Are you aware that you have to unzip baseport.zip before uploading it?

Thanx yellowled! Your guess was right and I was just too damn quick. And did not realize that the new base folder did not have the right attriputes (755!!). I changed this and now it works!
