Since 9/23 everything had been working fine with Tiny MCE WYSIWYG and than about a week ago (I think my ISP server crashed and by the time I heard about things were up and running again) I noticed when I click the HTML button or add a picture and the popup window displays my serendipity main page instead the correct screens.



I have no idea what is going on. This was going on before and after upgrading Serendipity.

Thank you for the update.

I found the reason for this issue. Your blog is using search engine friendly URLs. The Apache rewrite rules are defined in the following file:

public_html/serendipity/.htaccess

However it seems that there is a missing or misconfigured entry in this file which is interfering the WYSIWYG editor of your web site. Here is what I did. I logged into your admin area and click on the New entry icon. When I hit the tree I see the front page of your web site instead of the window where I can upload pictures. The next step I did in order to test this was to rename the .htaccess file mentioned above to .htaccess.old. When I renamed the file and clicked on the Tree icon once again and it loaded as expected. However whitout this .htaccess file the front page of your blog is not working correctly. Kindly ask the developers of the application you are using and ask them to review all rewrite rules. It seems that whenever you click on the Three icon instead of trying to load the correct editor url the url itself gets rewriten by the rules defined in the .htaccess file and that's why in the new window you are redirected to the front page of your blog.

Yes, the tinyMCE plugin doesn't support version 3.0, as the interfaces changed.

Any Idea when the plugin will support the 3.x branch of tinymce (this is mainly an issue so the safari plugin for tinymce can be employed).

I know serendipity users who are mac based safari users, this would be a big help.

What are the current issues in using it, do you need any help to get it functioning ?

Nobody's working on it right now. The 1.4 version might be a good place to add this kind of thing, though; we're considering other modifications for that release that could break earlier versions.

I think we'd want a single breaking point.

Ok, I'm at a total loss so I thought I'd ask here.

I've installed tinyMCE - works no problem. iManager is a different problem.

I've done the following:

• downloaded imanager
  unzipped to tiny_mce/plugins/imanager
  edited config to point to upload directory
  moved editor files from interface folder to main imanager folder
  included imanager in list of plugins on s9y config
  included imanager as button in button3 list

Nothing. No icon.

Anyone have tips for troubleshooting this one?

Hey,

I installed tinymce, but it's not shown, I only get the standard editor.
WYSIWYG-Option is ON but FireFox Debug-Box shows follwing messages:

I checked the path http://www.*******/plugins/serendipity_event_tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce_gzip.php and it's correct.

So what could be the problem?
In IE 7, I got logged out, when entering the "new entry"-page....!?

--> I installed the tinymce_3_2_2_1, is this still a problem as judebert said?
