Re: New to serendipity - Static pages question
Can anyone tell me how to get a flash SWF file to autostart in an entry? I have everything working with the easy podcast plugin but I wanted to set the swf to autostart and keep the video looping.
As it is now it seems I add a link to the entry and the easy podcast plugin puts the <a href></a> code around it so the video has to be clicked to play.

I am not a flash user - could it be that the auto start info is actually part of the flash file itself, and needs to be set when the flash file is first created?

Hi Don,
No, I run the same movie on a regular web page and it is autostart. I changed all the autostart values in the podcast_player.php file which is part of the plugin but that didn't work. I haven't looked at the main php file of the plugin. I was hoping it would be something easy like adding autoStart=true to something. Thanks for the reply.

Ed - it probably is that simple, I have just never dug that deeply into such options before now. I may dig around a bit, and if I discover anything useful, I will post here. Meanwhile, perhaps someone more familiar with SWFs will post a solution.
