I'm using the spartacus plugin nowadays, and I have been for quite some time. However, I have not been using it from the beginning of the blog. Looking at the permissions plus user/group of the directories of those plugins actually installed via spartacus, I notice some inconsistencies.
Most of the directories have 777 permissions, but some of them have 755. All of them have wwwrun, aka the webserver, as their owner. Some of them have nogroup as group, some have my FTP user. I'm wondering which is "correct" here. The spartacus plugin, BTW, is set to a) set the group to the FTP user, and b) to set the permissions to 0777 for files and directories. Same question here: Are these reasonable settings? If so, I should probably adapt these manually for directories and files which have potentially been installed manually before switching to spartacus use, right?
Then there are the version numbers ... oh, well. Most of them are "in sync" with the version number displayed for the respective plugin on spartacus.s9y.org. Some of them are actually higher than the version number displayed over there (i.e. I have serendipity_event_entrypaging 1.36, while spartacus.s9y.org tells me the latest version is 1.35).
Then there's the contact form plugin. My installed version claims to be 1.17, spartacus.s9y.org says the latest is 1.8. Also, the contact form plugin does not have a spartacus icon in the event plugin list, so I suppose this is the one plugin I installed manually and never updated via Spartacus after all.
