uploading a new theme?

Post by nerdboyxxx »

I've looked everywhere, and I cant seem to find a place that tells me how to add my own theme. Is this possible, or do I have to edit the actual templates that came with it? If so, how do I edit them? Follow up question, can you upload new templates with FTP upload?

thanks for all help.

Yes, you can add your own template. Simply place your files in the /templates/ folder. Use your own unique subfolder name, such as /templates/my-awesome-template/.

At minimum, your template should contain a stylesheet named style.css.

If you want to edit any of the default smarty templates, simply copy the one you want to modify from /templates/default/ and place it in your custom template subfolder, and make modifications there.
