RSS feeds not working after upgrade

Hi there,
Looks like RSS feeds are not working after I upgraded serendipity to 1.4-beta1.

This is the error

XML Parsing Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity
Location: http://www.mysite.com/feeds/index.rss2
Line Number 3, Column 1:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

same happens to rss1 rss2 and atom
