"Recent Entries" Plugin Not Working?

i'm not seeing anything listed by the Recent Entries plug-in.

for example, a new post has the following settings:
Mark this entry as a Sticky Post - False
Hide from article overview / frontpage - True
Hide content in RSS - False

This entry is NOT displayed under Recent Entries.

I noticed it's not listed in the RSS feed either.

Yes, because of this

Hide from article overview / frontpage - True

Such entries can only be displayed in category view, and nowhere else.
