All comments posted to our blog display as "comment by anonymous". I assume we have some set something somewhere that is hiding the names from any of the comments. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hmmm... you can hide the email addresses of those making comments using the spamblock plugin (which I think is a good idea - admin can still see them), but I know of no s9y feature that overwrites the name they supply in the comment form itself. That being said, it would be no big deal to do it in an actual template. Is it possible the template you are using is responsible? What template are you using? Whichever it is, try temporarily changing to a different template and see if your comment author names actually show up.
