Re: Publishing Blog Entries
Hi!
What do you mean, you are "not able"? What happens? Do you get errors? What's your blog URL? What's your s9y version? How do you create the entry? Is the created entry shown in your backend, and only not in the frontend? Or not visibile in both?
Regards,
Garvin

Sometimes users get a little confused with the display. Some folks expect every entry to have a date line just before the title.
Most templates don't do that: they have a date line for all the entries on any particular day, then each entry gets its own title line. The date line is not reprinted until entries on a new date are encountered.
Especially if the template specifies a title line that isn't significantly different from other visual elements, this can lead users to think that only one entry is being displayed for each day.
Perhaps this is what's throwing you off?

We're having a similar with our blog. When we go to add a new entry the page just hangs when we're saving for preview or just hangs with a message that the entry is processing. The URL is http://bumblebeellc.com/serendipity/ and we're using Serendipity 1.3.1 and PHP 5.2.5
Any help would be great, thanks!

Hi bumblebee!
I doubt your problem is related to this issue here.
When your page hangs, does it really hang and show you a running "loading" screen? Or does it stop loading and simply show a white screen?
In 99% of all cases, this problem is caused because your blog is unable to connect to outgoing webservers because it might be firewalled. In this case you need to remove any possible XML-RPC announcement plugins in the s9y plugin management, and you need to install the plugin "Manual Trackback Control" from http://spartacus.s9y.org/ and there configure to not use trackbacks.
The other option is to contact your web provider to check the error logs, and maybe disable the firewall so that you can connect to outgoing servers.

Garvin
