Hello together,
i've asked my provider that he should setup safe_mode off. But now my s9y will not be displayed. In this way he set register_globals off. But at this time i had an Erooro 403 so he activated register_globals. But now i only see the favicon. Need s9y safe_mode on or off? I do this because if i posted an new entry i hab an internal server error.
many greetings
Marcus Radisch

Re: safe_mode on or off
Hi!
This sounds a lot like your provider screwed up.
Please ask him to review the error logs properly.
s9y works with safe mode on or off, it does not matter. SafeMode only makes trouble if you want to use Spartacus or automatic image synchronization. For basic operating, safe mode is unrelated.

Hi!
The RAM usage is dependant on your installed plugins.
A default installations uses about 5MB of RAM, each event plugin you add can take up 500k-2MB of RAM.
There is no way to work around that, PHP simply uses that much memory for each instantiated object containing variables.
Luckily, with our plugin management you are responsible for your memory allocation yourself, so you can add/remove functionality easily, whereas other blog systems cannot be reduced in its basic functionality...
