Adminstrator - rights problem

I accidentally while logged in as admin in the manage users config added myself to the editor and chief editor groups as well. Well then it seemed that other options i.e using sparticus wasn't possible so I tried to remove those groups from user admin... perhaps I also removed membership of admin also... now I can't add admin membership again and get only following message.

You cannot modify users with the same userlevel as yourself

I was careless I guess... but I'm also thnking it shouldn't be possible ?

I changed serendipity_authorgroups table so that for groupid 3 there was only 1 entry and author id = 1

But still As admin I'm guessing I sholdn't have gotten into trouble, my mistake... and it shouldn't be possible...
