When I go to my blog, I suddenly get the above.

I reloaded Serendipity (latest). Nada.

ANY assistance, recommendations or scolding appreciate.

Check that your templates_c directory exists and is writable to to the webserver user (777).

i also got this problem... last night it was ok.. then the next day i got that error..

templates_c has 777 permission

apparently my styles disappeared when i went to the admin screen
when i clicked on manage style, it gave

i'm using 0.83

It seems you or someone else deleted your templates directory. This one is required, of course.
