Problem with contactform

Hi this is my first post and forgive me if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find the answer.

I installed the Contactform event plugin and it will not send the email. I get the following error message:

An error occured while posting the message

I havn't set or configured anything for email on the Serendipity Admin settings or the webserver.

Any ideas I couldnt find any documentation.

Erm, so you probably haven't configured the contact form plugin, either, right? Well, in that case, how is the contact form supposed to figure out whom to send the email to?

Log into your admin backend, go to "Configure Plugins" -> "Event Plugins" -> "Contact Form". "Target E-Mail address" is probably what you're looking for, enter your email address there.

If that still doesn't work, it's very likely your server is unable to send email altogether.

Thanks for the answer - I had input the target email FYI...I guess the server can't send email but that's ok it's only a free host.

I'd really ask the provider of that free hosting about it. Send email can be vital in a s9y (or any) blog - think about being noticed via email whether there are new comments or something like that ...
