Blog Post Specific Keywords / Use the Free Tag Event Plugin

Post by johncanary »

Hi!

The new version of the Free Tag Event Plugin has a
great feature:

It inserts an extra meta keyword tag into the head section of the page.

Code: Select all

<meta name="keywords" ... >
The keywords are the tags. It even gives output on overview pages
(I guess it takes the first post on the page as reference).

You can configure this feature in the Admin Panel.

That's a great way to get page specific keyword meta tags (actually
I don't know of any other).

Just thinks that's awesome.

P.S.: Some of the big search engines still look what's in the
meta tags.

P.P.S.: It adds a new meta tag. If you have one hardcoded into the
index.tpl Template, you'll get 2. It's still valid XHTML, but no idea
how the search engines deal with that.

P.P.P.S.: Don't ask. I have not tried out what happens, if you have other
plugins that also mess with your meta tags.
