Anyone have an idea on how I can encourage someone to sign the guestbook or contact me after a file is downloaded. Thinking of having a pop-up after a download. Then again many people block pop-ups. The pop-up can include a why to sign ethier.
I am using download manager plugin to handle the downloads.

Luckily, the download manager plugin is smartified. So copy the dlmanager.filedetails.tpl from the plugin directory to your template's directory. Open the copied file with an editor. You'll find a hideous table with some cells just holding a . Substitute one of them with your text.
Disclaimer: I haven't seen the dlmanager in action for some time, so I can't give you any hints on how to format this properly. You'll have to test it and figure something out. You're welcome to ask for further help here
