Google Analytics - what is purpose of markup?

Post by Don Chambers »

Just curious.... what impact do these settings have on the Google Analytics plugin:

Code: Select all

Entry Body
 Apply markup to Entry Body
Yes No

Extended Body
 Apply markup to Extended Body
Yes No

Comment
 Apply markup to Comment
Yes No

HTML Nugget
 Apply markup to HTML Nugget
Yes No
And as long as I am asking, what impact does it have if a usergroup is not tracked?

if u set them to no, than external links or downloads are not tracked.

the same with usergroups, they dont get the code and so they are not tracked.

Hi!

Those refer to converting bodies to check for hyperlinks so that they can be tracked by analtics.
And as long as I am asking, what impact does it have if a usergroup is not tracked?
Visits of members of that group will not be counted in the analytics tracking.

Thanks for the info... cannot imagine why someone would want any content excluded, but good to know it can be done just in case.
