Testing Shared Installation and getting smarty error

Post by tazilein »

Hi,

I am currently testing the shared installation feature. I use Falk Dörings PDF-manual for that. The first two blogs went perfect, but with the third one I am haveing troubles.

I uploaded the files from the deployment directory + the directories "uploads", "archives" and "plugins" from the blog, changed the .htaccess and added the php_value for s9y.

The blog is up & running, but

*) Wikipedia Plugin is showing an error
Serendipity Fehler: Kann Datei 'serendipity_plugin_wikipedia_finder:8fd7a45adebf9e442d81e27ac4c8a436' nicht einbinden - wird beendet.
*)when I try to get to the admin panel I get an smarty error
Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "admin/index.tpl" in /www/htdocs/v038961/library/s9y/bundled-libs/Smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1092
I thought that maybe a file in the template was missing, but all files are in the template directoy, so I am a little confused. Can anyone please help :)

Hi!

That sounds like the plugins/ directory does not contain the wikipedia plugin, and that the "templates/default/admin" directory does not exist or is not readable?! Did you check your path config?

Hi garvin,

Thanx for your answer. The blog I added to the shared installation was so old that the default template was not the same any more - that caused the failure.

Thx!

5 of 11 blog added to shared installation :-)
