file browser plugin

Hi,

is there a plugin that shows the content of an directory of the media library? I like to create download section for pdf documents...
All authors should be able to easly at new files by adding them to the media libary.

At the moment I try the media gallery, it also shows my documents but it is desinged for picures...

If there is no such a plugin can someone give me a glue how to change the media gallery that it shows the short and the long comment of the document properties? Then I will try to modify the gallery for my usage...

you can also use the downloadmanager plugin for your downloads.
(you can create an admin folder, so that only logged in users can access, your pdf's)
