After I let a poll run so long I want to be able to disable or turn it off but still allow users to view the poll archives.
Any way of going about this?
Unless I'm missing something you can't just deactivate a poll. There always has to be one running. I suppose I can make the side bar poll plugin "Hidden" when I am not running a poll but I would like a link to the archives.
Thanks.

Re: Disable Poll But Still Show Archives
Hi!
That is true, the current plugin does not allow old polls to be seen without also running new polls, I'm sorry.
But I think it should not be too hard to be able to disable that, I can try to find a patch for this next week, if you remind me
Regards,
Garvin

Thanks Garvin.
Right now my work around is just to create an empty poll but the "GO!" (submit) button is still there.
An option to be able to disable or stop the poll would be nice. Especially if the side bar plugin would display something to the effect of "No polls currently runing at this time. Visit the archives.".

I haven't properly looked at it; could you use CSS to hide that submit button through (".serendipity_plugin_poll input { display: none}"?Right now my work around is just to create an empty poll but the "GO!" (submit) button is still there.
I agree, that could be done. If I think about it during the next week, I'll do that (no work this weekendAn option to be able to disable or stop the poll would be nice.
