Is there a way to make people register before they can post on the blog?

Hi!

Yes, you can install the plugin "User Self-Registration" from Spartacus.

Hey thanks a lot. Is there a way to remove all registered users and start again? After I register no email arrives. Any clue?

Hi!

You can remove users in the s9y admin suite under "User management".

When you get no email after registering, it might be your server's Mail support is not properly enabled. Do you get comment notifications via email? If not, your host must enable sendmail support of PHP or properly configure the system's localhost mail server - or on windows servers, insert a proper smtp-server in the php.ini file.

Yes I do get comment notices. After I installed the plugin I tried to reg myself and it said this user is already taken. Yet it was not. Also when I click on the login button it takes to the admin login page. Is there any other way to make people register.

Hi!

If it says, the user is taken, the username is definitely taken already!

And where else should the login button point to? Serendipity always uses the admin login.
