Hi, I've been using s9y for over a year now, but have been a tad lazy on translating it into my language(Korean). Anyway, I've been trying to translate the strings into UTF-8, but whenever I upload the lang file the blog turns into a wreck: the @defines get unquoted in strange places, etc.
I've tried gVim, Crimson Editor and a few others, but none of them really work. Oh, I succeeded once by tweaking the vim settings(termencoding, etc.) but I can't remember how I did it:-(
I hope I can resolve this issue, since I have a lot more strings translated than the one in the CVS repos!:-)
PS: The webserver I host my blogs uses EUC-KR(or CP949, the default Korean encoding) for the filesystem, if this is of any help.
Pointers for translating in UTF-8?

Re: Pointers for translating in UTF-8?
Could you maybe send the language file to me privately (serendipity at garv dot in)? Then I could look into it.
My guess is that the EUC-Filesystem screws up the file, and that the file itself is alright.
BTW: Do NOT save the UTF8-BOM to the file.

Garvin
