[Solved] Image Upload using FTP

Post by Rei »

I uploaded a few images to */uploads through FTP but none of them show up in the Media Library even if i refreshed the browser for several times.

Clicking Rebuild Thumbs works (the image files show up in the Media Library with the thumbnail image) but that does not make sense if i need to rebuild thumbnail for all images again once i add in new images.

My online installation is without the "imagemagick binary" but i doubt that has anything to do with this behavior because my local machine installation with the imagemagick binary shows the same behavior too.

Hi!

If you click rebuild thumbnails, only new images are imported.

IF you want images to show up automatically, enable the dynamic media library update in the s9y configuration screen.

 Thank you for verifying how the rebuild thumb works.
In that case i would not need to enable the dynamic media library.
