I want to install the serendipity_event_freetag plugin.
I copied the directory under plugins directory, but I don't see it under plugins in administration. Is there anything else I need to do to install the plugin?
Thanks

Re: serendipity_event_freetag - plugin instalation
Hi!
Did you click on "Configure Plugins > Click here to install an event plugin" to activate the plugin? It does not suffice to copy a directory, you also need to "install" / "activate" a plugin after it's on your server.

Garvin

Thanky you for the anwser. I managed to instll the plugin.
Could you please help me a little bit more.
I din't find any good documentation about the plugin. Do you maybe have some links?
How do I add tags to posts?
Are the any function to check tags in posts? For example we have English and Spanish posts with tags English and Spanish. I would like to put a link in the header that woud redirect me to English posts main page if I am reading an English post an to Spanish posts main page if I am reading a Spanish post.
Is there a way to do that using functions in this plugin?
Thanks

Hi!
Sadly I don't know of any extensive documentation. Most of the plugin should be self-explanatory. Apart from that, we have a wiki on www.s9y.org where everyone can contribute documentation if he likes, I give out free accounts for everyone who wants to help in documentation.
Apart frmo that, the official s9y book is on its way, and I hope it'll be available in english soon as well. The freetag plugin is well documented in that book.
HTH,
Garvin

Simply click on "New Article", and then go to the bottom section of that page. There you see an input field for tags. How do I add tags to posts?
Tags are unique, they are not seperated by language. Thus, if you create a blog entry with the tag "language" and another blog entry with the tag "hablas", you will only find the entries to those tags, which are usually related to your language. You cannot switch the blog language or category when you click on a tag, this is conceptually not possible. Tags work on their own nomenclature. Are the any function to check tags in posts? If you write the same articles in english and spanish, did you already try the "multilingual entries" plugin? This will give you a link in the head of each article having an english and spanish version, that switches through these versions.
Or have a language chooser with this plugin that switches the default language of the user showing him the articles in the version of his language.
All this doesn't help, if your english and spanish posts are completely different..

Hi Grischa!
The tags will still be valid for all language versions of the same entry, so sadly this plugin doesn't help at all with extended options/properties. they are stored per entry-id, not per entry-variant.
