DDOS/Spam attack

This server is currently under a DDOS/spam attack originating from hundreds of ips sending requests to this server each second. I'm working on it, but please bear with me if this server currently responds a bit slow...

i am using fail2ban with iptables - it works :-)

I've just suffered a few hours or attacks as well, just deleted over 1200 spam comments/trackbacks
