Searching archives after import

Post by Zirbelholz »

Hi,

I imported 4 years' entries to http://transblawg.eu and it looks good, with good permalink names. But if I use the Google site search plugin, or even an external Google site search, only the very recent entries are searched, not the imported ones.

For instance, I was looking for the word 'bronze', which comes up in an entry on July 5th about the Fürth pedestrian zone, but I could see any imported entries at all in the search results.

What do I do to make the whole site searchable?

TIA

Hi!

You might need to give google a few days or weeks to let it spider your whole page. Usually on new or much changed domains, the google bot only covers a recursion depth of 2 or 3 pages. It can take very long until your whole page is spidered.

Garvin

Google's cache for your site is dated 13th October 2007, when did you import the older entries?

OK, thanks, I didn't realize it was a Google problem. I probably imported a day or two later.
