Sidebar archive plugin folder

Post by dashboy »

I PM garvin the question below and garvin said that it's best to ask this at the forum so that everyone could benefit from it.
Hi garvin,

This is just a short question, so I don't think I'll post it in the forum. By default, there's a sidebar archive right? May I know where can I find the php file for this sidebar plugin? I can't find it in the plugin folder. Sad

I've tried searching at the plugins, filter archive, but found nothing. Forum also the same.

Hope you can find time to help me. Just a simple one. Thanks a lot in advance.
I really did try looking but couldn't find the folder anywhere... below is garvin's reply. No wonder I wasn't able to find it. :?
Hi!

Please do ask these questions on the forums. Then everyone can benefit from it.

The archives plugin is in include/plugin_internal.inc.php, teh serendipity_archives_plugin PHP class.

Regards,
Garvin
Thanks garvin! :D

Yeah it's one of the core components of Serendipity, so isn't actually a plugin in the technical sense even though it gets installed from within the plugin manager. Somewhere in these forums we have a list of core components that fit into this category, it might even be in the wiki, if I have the time I'll hunt around for it later and post the complete list here. Unless someone beats me to it.

BTW, Garvin gives a lot to this project, several hours a day for the last 4.5 years, so sending him a PM, or commenting on his blog, or emailing him about support queries are likely to get the short answer, and if he's at work his bosses might invoice you for his time. Usually there are several of the more experienced s9y users lurking in the forums, we might not be logged in but we're not far away, most threads don't go unanswered for more than a few hours.
