Question about directiries pasword

Hello,
I need your help about one thing.

I would like to put a password on a directorie. Is there any plugin for that .?
For exemple . I have some^pics I want to put it on my serendipity site but I want to show it to some users not all

I hope you'll understand me because I don't speak english very weel.

I've search on the forum but found nothing.

Hi!

Google for "htaccess htpasswd". With that you can put a password restriction on directories.

I know htaccess an htpassword but Iwould like a plugin do that .

Because it'll be more easier for my users.

So if there insn't a plugin , I'll go to make an ht acces for some catégory.

Hi!

There's no plugin to write htaccess files. Password protection is hard, otherwise, because files would be needed to be access through a wrapper.

The s9y media gallery however can be protected using the login of authors and assigning read priviliges for specific folders...however, I finmd that more difficult to setup than using htacces
